缺乏背景的塑造，最重要的是很难理解为什么纠结于“传播圣经”和“不让传播圣经”。
建立在宗教发展上的架空作品，旧圣经要换成新圣经，设定不错，“如果改变圣经中的任何一个词，就是在试图取代上帝”。但这个设定并没有创作出当代世界发生这类故事的必然性，摈除异端在各个时代的古装电影里都有，获得重生的传播方式和本片没有差别，只是本片有更多的交通工具而已。“警方”的监控系统如同儿戏，情节需要时很全能，不需要时如同虚设，电影里的团体能开展行动全依赖于这个系统的随性。七人团队也增添了夫妻、父女、兄弟这样的周边感情线试图丰富他们创举的艰辛，这类支线都写得较差。影片非常依赖对话，开会的场景很重复，一些类演讲戏也是靠音乐区烘托，作为文戏电影没有精雕细琢，而“动作”的部分可以说是一塌糊涂，七人愚蠢地制定传递圣经的路线，被通缉时过关卡，被跟踪，被抓捕，全都十分可笑。
